Hi

Which volume of the 18th edition was the Burkes LG book that you refer to? I have several but not the one that refers to Tylston Lodge. (17th Ed and earlier)

My G.Uncle and GodFather (JMBP) sold Tylston Lodge to the council who used it as, I believe a childrens home for a while, it then lay empty for about 10 years. The Council in there "wisdom" did not even board up the windows so as such it was completely gutted in this period (not just floorboards but even the joists so that the ground floor was on soil) - had allsort of "lodgers". The house was purchased 10 years ago and has been fully restored, it is now a Bed and Breakfast (http://www.tylstonlodge.com/). The garden was greatly reduced when the new A3 road was built. JMBP moved to Stowey House in the grounds of Liphook Golf Club, this house was sold about 15 months ago (today is 8th Oct, 2003)
