This is interesting, I too just happened across this site. My name is Fay Poyser and I know that my dad's family have lived in a village called onecote (pronounced on-cut or an-cut depeding on who is talking) for hundreds of years although when he was born they moved the whole 7 miles to leek (which is also only 7 miles from ipstones).

When I looked into my family history a few years ago someone told me that there are a large number of poysers in and around leek/staffs as they settled here (apparently a norman/french name from market weighers?) and then didn't move very far from the area due to the surrounding hills and dfficulty of travel.
