I am researching my Pradier (Pradia/Prader/Prade) line and have documentation of a great great grandfather named Francois Pradier. Together with his first wife, Rosalie Cadier, had a son named Jean Baptiste Francois Pradier born on 14 July 1862 in St. Martinsville, LA, as well as, Emmanuel (my great grandfather), Benjamin and Gabriel. With Celeste Benoit Trahan, he fathered Felix & Philippe, Elisabeth, Jean Romelus and Joseph. However, the Francois Pradia who married Mary (Marie) Brown is recorded in the 1870 Census (Lafayette, Vermilion Cty.) along with their son John Marcellus:

-------, Marcel 3yr Male Mulatto

Father Hebert's Church Records record the marriage of Francois Pradier and Mary Ann Brown on 18 April 1881 (Abbeville Ch. v2 p175) along with their children:

(John) Marcellus - 14 yrs
Joseph - 11 yrs
Josephine (Marie) - 7 yrs
Odillon (Frank) - 5 yrs
(Marguerite) Victoria - 1 yr

I'm trying to gather documentation on the father of Francois. Let me know if you find out.
