My grandma's brother was a William Prange and he had a son David. Since David's grandfather was Herman, maybe it's the same. I'll have to ask my dad. My dad graduated from New Palestine in 1963. My parents got married at the Zion church in New Pal. They lived there up until 1969/1970. Then they moved to Buck Creek township and have lived there ever since. In my notes, I have that Herman Prange was born in New Palestine Nov. 30, 1884. I don't have any other info on Herman's parents Henry Prange or Eleanor Schaekel - other than Eleanor was born or came from Germany. I will be coming home some during the last week of May. I'm going to be taking some vacation time to visit the zoo and Conner Prarie with my kids. I need to come up with a list of questions to ask grandma (Cora) when I go up to visit. So if there is something you want me to ask her, let me know. Mentally she's pretty good, physically she doesn't get around very well.
