I have been trying to research my family tree, but am unable to find records for the family in Germany. My Grandmother, Auguste, her two brothers, William and August, and her sister Marie can to the US in 1904 as orphans. They were from Altoona-Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. William and Marie stayed with relatives in the New York/New Jersey area. Auguste and August stayed with relatives in San Francisco. Any help with the family history in Germany would be appreciated.
