How nice to hear from you. No I havent been to N York to see the area. Ive been going to NC and Va and doing my dads family. I need to go to Pa and WV so maybe I can swing through one year. I do have a picture of my grgrandparents at their summer home in N York. Maybe it was their parents originally. Ardsley on the Lake? Have you ever heard of it? Mothers family went to Huntington WV and we are in Dallas Tx. so have been pretty far removed for over 50 yrs when mother married in Alexandria Va. and moved to Ga.
I also have the Gen. book you refer to. My grandads sister was wise and sent each of we three girls a copy even though at the time we were only 13,10 and 4 years of age. She was my trigger. I doubt my sisters even know they have a copy! Oh well. Im the only one with kids so I have more motivation I suppose. I have threatened my children that if they dont have any kids they will have wasted half of my life! Especially my dads family, he is an only child. No pressure.
I have had touch over the years with some other decendants of Asa. I never realized how close I was to one of them until just recently. I wish I could find her. Maybe sometime. Thanks..Beverly
