Hi Chris;
Did we meet at the August reunion at the Stanton / Davis farm?
I was writing a long answer, but got involved with mail from an old buddy, and it timed out on me.
There are oral traditions in the Prentice/Prentiss, Starkweather and Stanton families that Anne was the daughter of King Philip (Metacomb), and captured in 1675/6. Raised by the family of Robert Starkweather, she married John Starkweahter, and had a daugher Mary. Mary married John Stanton, so if true we're related to Massasoit. This was covered in the Nov (Thanksgiving) Stanton Society newsletter a couple of times. Must be something to it, but surely not proven.
