Hi Norma;
I started chasing the Prentice line, hoping to learn more about our legend of the Indian Princess. If this James Otis is the one whose great-grandmother is Sarah Stanton b. 1655 our connection is firm but faint to Thomas Prentice, Sr. b. 1621. Thomas supposedly adopted the daughter of Metacomb (King Philip) and raised her as his own. This connects the Starkweather, Prentice / Prentiss and Stanton families, all veterans of that brutal colonial war to Massasoit of the First Thanksgiving! What a history lesson!\
