Hi Diann,
No it doesn't list his children in this history just mentions his name. Your William according to the census reports for 1830, 1840, and 1850 in Tioga County, NY shows he was born abt 1780? The 1860 Census shows him as 80 years old. My William R. Presher b.1759 must be the William was in the Revolutionary War and in the 1790 Census in Cortlandt, Westchester County, NY. I have found William and Anna [Wright] Presher's son, Wright Presher, buried in 1789 in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County, NY. After that they arrived in 1807 in Sheshequin, Bradford County, PA, and William built a grist mill there in 1807 and it states he died in there in 1822. He is listed as an early settler and taxpayer there. This I found in the Bradford County, PA History. He is also listed under Ulster Twp,[including most of Sheshequin and part of Rome]in the "History Bradford County [1800 -1840] Soldiers of the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 by Clement F. Heverly.

Can you please tell me where you got the information about William and Henry being in the Revolutionary War, 3rd and 4th Regiment, under Col. Livingston. Did you get there papers from the Natl. Archives? Do you know who Abraham Presher is who also listed in the 1790 Westchester County, NY census? Hope you can help. It would be great if we could solve this puzzle. Thanks, Thora
