My Great Grandmother was Isibell Martin, b. Feb. 19,1855 d. Jan. 25, 1901. I don't know much about her, but I do know she is buried in Belton, S. C. and her tombstone states she is the wife of J. R. Presher. As you may have noticed the date of her death would mean she was fairly young when she died and I thought perhaps J. R. Presher remarried Anna Carroll. There is also a tombstone for Robert McKinley, son of J. R. Presher and he was only 23 when he died. Also a grave for Roxie Elnora Presher and she was only 37 years old. I find this to be very interesting due to the fact how young they were even though people didn't live as long then.
As you may know, Belton, S. C. is about 30 miles from Laurens, S.C. I have been searching for anything on the Presher family, but have not been very successful. Please contact me with any information.
