I am looking for information on John Presnail soldier he had son Thomas born at sea off Gibraltar. Thomas married Anna Flanagan July 19, 1849 in all Saints Church in the parish of Bury in the county of Lancaster, England.
witneses W Payne & Bridget Colwell.
Children: Jane Ann b. June 1 1850 Everton, Lancaster, Engkand; Eli b.Everston England. All the other children were born in Toronto Ontario Canada. William Payne; Thomas b.1852
Richard; Charles; Bertha and Fred. Any iinformation on Presnail exact spelling appreciated.
I have a letter from a James Presnail dated Feb. 25 1945 from 5 the Ridgeway Chatham England. He had met my uncle Bill in 1944 and they were searching for Presnail's then. (Unfortunatly Bill was killed at Caan France in July 1944.)
Thomas was in the 62nd Regiment of Foot, discharged May 31, 1859 Halifax Nova Scotia.
My uncle Bill was in the Royal Regiment of Canada.
