Andrea, this just may be a coincidence but my great grandparents Henry and Margaret Prest had a child named Mary Elizabeth Dixon. She was born on Feb 14 1866. This is 3 years before my they married so she may be a child from a previous marriage or Dixon could have been Margarets maiden name. They also named one of their children William H. but he died in 1878 at age 8. Did your great grandfather have any brothers? Henry was born in 1847 according to the research I have but I don't know where. I don't know if he was born in the Ripon Harrogate area or moved there later. I know my grandfather Harry lived in that area as a child. John
