Prestininzi/Pircey in Caulonia and WA state

I am researching the the Prestininzi name also.

My grandfather was Vincenzo Prestininzi, born in Caulonia in 1888. He came to the US around 1904 through the port of Boston and after stops in Joliet, IL and Pocatello, ID, he arrived in Seattle around 1910 with a new name - Vincent Pircey. He married Stella Bertucci and raised 7 children. Most of us remain in the Puget Sound area.

His parents were Tommaso Prestininzi and Caterina Puccio and he had 3 brothers: Ilario, Domenico and Luigi. Luigi perished in 1917 in WWI and the other 2 immigrated to the US. I have no idea what became of Domenico. Ilario settled in Boston and at one point was connected to a store called Napoli and Larry in North Cambridge.

Letters from Tomasso and Caterina reference relatives with the last name Vozzo as well.

Sincerely,
Greg Nordlund
Olympia, WA
