my name is emma priday, and its so nice to know there all these Pridays out there!
The Priday branch of my family, used to own "Priday Metford" in Glouscester Docks, and this was sold by my grandfather.
There are lots of Pridays living in Glouscestershire including my family, (although oxfodshire also seems a popular place!).

The arms granted to the family of Priday of the county of Essex, as recorded in the Office of Arms Doctors Commons in 1496, depict a griffith over a blue and white crest.

I hope this information is useful to someone (maybe one of my relatives!).
