This James Pride was born in Alabama in 1848.
I do not know where he grew up.At the age of 52 (1895), he ended up in Texas married to my great grandma. They lived in Robertson County Texas,(Calvert Texas). He had a son already named Charlie. My grandpa, Willie "Doc" Pride was born on October 31, 1895, to James Pride and Elnora Chopp Tucker. THEY MAY HAVE LIVED IN MILAM COUNTY TOO!

I NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO CHARLIE. MY FAMILY THINKS HE LIVED IN LIMESTONE COUNTY FOR A WHILE AND THEN TO HOPKINS COUNTY. ( BOTH IN TEXAS)

My granddad Willie Pride told me that James' name at one time was a varation of McDonnah or McDonald.
