Burton Pride born 1758 in Pennsylvania was my ggg grandfather and his third wife Elizabeth Houston,Millwee was my third ggg grandmother. Burton Pride was married 3 times to Nancy Sutton Anderson, Sally (Bizwell) Burwell on 29 Oct 1780 in N.C. and Elizabeth Houston,Millwee. To my knowledge Burton Pride (my ggg grand) was never in Arkansas. He did serve in the Revel War,enlisting in N.C. in 1775 and he died in Morgan/Madison County Ala in 1835,he received his pension at age 77. After he died his wife came to Sevier County Arkansas with her children,3 of them were Pride. Burton Pride has a son by Sally Burwell named Thomas Burton Pride and a son named Wilsey Pride. I know very little about his children by Nancy Sutton Anderson and Sally Burwell. His children by Elizabeth Houston,Millwee were; Henry Carter Pride, Nancy Anderson Pride, Elizabeth Caroline Pride-my gg grandmother. Henry,Nancy and Elizabeth grew up in Sevier county Arkansas with their mother Elizabeth Houston and their Millwee 1/2 siblings.
