My ggg grandfather was Woolsey Pride b. 10 Jun 1812 married Mary Bush Traylor b. 10 Oct 1817 on 24 Sept 1837 in Pike Co, IN. Since they would have been in the same generation as your Benjamin and Catherine Trayolr it is possible that they (Mary Bush and Catherine) were sisters or cousins? This Woolsey (b. 1812) was the son of Thomas Pride (b. 1790) and Martha Palmer. His siblings that we know of are Henry and Thomas G.. So I doubt this Thomas is your Benjamin's father. Going back a generation further, Thomas' parents were Woolsey Pride b. abt 1760 and Rachel Gold. His brothers were Nathaniel, Thomas b 1790, and Woolsey B b. 1805. No Benjamin there. Going back one more generation, I see Thomas Pride b. 1730, married to Wilsey Burton,(father of my Woolsey b. abt 1760) had four other sons named George Burton, Benjamin, William and Thomas. George Burton had many children with two different wives none listed named Benjamin. I already went over Woolsey. No Benjamin there. so that leaves William, Thomas and Benjamin. The only information I have on this Benjamin is he was born abot 1759 in VA and died 22 MAy 1817 in Roane Co., TN. He married Ruth Rankin. William was born abt. 1763 in Va and Thomas abt 1765 in Va. Since Thomas b. 1730was the gg grandfather of my Woolsey (b. 1812 married to Mary Bush Traylor) it is quite possible that he is also the gg grandfather of your Benjamin through William, Thomas or Benjamin. I know this is alot of info but I hope it helps. Please let me know if you find this is indeed the correct line.
