Erin, I am related to the Prides through Lydian Pride who married Ezekiel G. Hays Jr. b.11/08/1801 NC. d.04/10/1868 in Pike, Co. IN. Buried in Chappel Cemetery. Lydian Pride was the daughter of Thomas Pride and Caty Miley. They were married 10/03/1841 in Pike, Co. IN. Ezekiel G. Hays Jr. was the son of Ezekiel G. Hays Sr. born between 1760 and 1775 NY. Ezekiel Sr's. wife is unknown. They had 3 children Ezekiel G. Hays Jr., Elias Hays b.09/30/1802 Pike, Co. IN. d.02/25/1847 Pike, Co. IN. and Hulday Hays b.10/01/1807 Pike, Co. IN. d.12/28/1867 Pike, Co. IN. The Filow Hays living with your Griffith family is Ezekiel G. Hays Sr's. brother. Philo Hays was born 08/25/1799 NY. He married Nancy Tislow 08/02/1821 Pike, Co. IN. She was the daughter of Paul Tislow and Matilda Nay. She was born 03/1800 and she died before 1844. I hope this helps you. I am still researching what part of New York this Hays line came from.
