Where to search for Prien ancestor?

Dear Fellow Prien Family Researchers,
Two good sources to help you locate your Prien ancestor,
if they left Germany after 1850 is the Hamburg Passenger
Lists and "Germans to America". Both of these have indexes.
The Family History Centers throughout the world can help you obtain copies of the Hamburg Passenger Indexes and Lists. "Germans to America" is by Filby and Glazier and you can find out about them through a search engine on the Internet.
Good luck and do not forget to exhaust family and local sources.
