Hi Mel, yes the Primmer's are all related and intermingled with the Fought's big time.
I understand the Fought/Vogt name came over from Canton of Basil in Switzerland about 1720 and have the history from there.
This name is also of interest to me because of my Kline/Engle ties into the Fought name as well, i.e.Maggie Engle b 18 Aug 1872 married Abel Fought (Maggie dau of Barnhart Engle and Appolonia Primmer, Hocking Co, OH)

I have much info on the Elizabeth Primmer married Jonas Fought families, but nothing on who Elizabeth's parents are. Married Hocking Co OH (Marriage record B117, 8 May 1849) Elizabeth b.5 Jun 1825 d. 7 Jan 1906 Shelbyville, Shelby Co, IL

John Primmer married Anna Fought (B146 Hocking Co, OH Marriages)13 July 1851. John Primmer son of Peter Primmer Sr and Susannah Overmire. (both died in Hocking Co, OH) See land Grantor lists of Hocking Co, OH 1854: Anna and John Primmer to John Fought, Book N352)

Samuel Edward Primmer also son of Peter Primmer Sr and Eve Overmire, married Elizabeth Fought 17 June 1849, Hocking Co Marriages OH B122) See also Land Grantor lists of Hocking Co, OH 1851: Peter and Susannah Primmer to Samuel Primmer K715, 1854 Elizabeth Primmer et al, to Samuel and Jonas Fought Book N96, 1862 Elizabeth and Samuel Primmer to Joseph Primmer Book S145.

Maybe that could be a start?
