Richard Primmer, baptised Portsea 1816

I am trying to find when and where Richard Primmer was born, and who were his parents. From the Portsmouth Records Office I discovered he was christened at Portsea on 11 August 1816.

He married Harriet Elizabeth Holmes at St Thomas, Portsea on 25 April 1841 and they had 8 children born between 1842 and 1862 (Richard William, Lucy Elizabeth, Eliza Maria, Maria, Margaret Ellen, William, Amelia Rosina, James John).

If anyone has any idea who Richard's parents were, or where they came from I would be very grateful for any information.
