Hi Beverly--
The Rhodes of Smithton are related to me on my mother's side of the family.I didn't realize Abigail was a part of that Rhodes Family. One of the daughters of the Smith who bought the land that is now Smithton was married to a Rhodes.Another daughter was married to a Hough and that is how the Smith-Rhodes-Hough families got to what was originally Smithtown.Their father sent several of his children to settle there while he stayed in Bucks County or it may have been Berks County.Anyhow it was in the eastern part of the state. My mom's ancestors married all three of those names:Smith; Rhodes and Hough.A lot of them are buried in the Barren Run Cemetery and some others are at the Hoffman/Old Brick/Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery between Barren Run and Smithton.
