Re your search for Edward Prior. I have looked through
my Chilton Priors but cannot find any sign or possible link
to your ancestor at the moment. I have a Stephen Prior married to Ellen living in Hosier Street, Reading in 1881, but he was born in 1857 so not married until about 1875 ish
and so any children of theirs would be too young to be the
Edward you are after. So sorry cannot help at this moment
but should I find anything, I will contact you.
