Hi Elizabeth

I read your email with interest and I am almost 100% certain we are related!

Was your Alfred Prior's middle name Henry by any chance? If so, then he was a younger brother of my great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth, born in Hadham in 1874.

Her parents were James Prior (who was born in Braughing in 1852) and his wife, Ann Lane. James's parents were, I'm pretty sure, John and Charlotte Prior. I still have to confirm his mother, ie Charlotte, as she seems to disappear and not appear in any census records. Perhaps she died in childbirth?

Anyway, I have quite a bit of Prior info and would gladly swap info with you. Email me at: mattihaha 'at' btinternet.com

Kind regards

Matt
