Eva, My grandfather changed his surname when he eloped to George Myers, and married my grandmother in 1925. He was born George Harry Mayer May 7, 1906. She was born Mamie Emma Kalesse Apr 2, 1907. I list her parents as Bob Kalesse & Mary Louella Smith. Funny that they both have the same name but I think this is just a coincidence.
