Susan Prothro was born approximately 1805/1806 to Hesse Hickson/Hixon and William Prothro, the youngest son of Evan Prothro. Hesse was the daughter of Sarah (Sally) and Thomas Hixson/Hixon, Jr.
Susan married her maternal uncle, Levi Hickson, a brother of her mother, Hesse Hickson. She died in SC in 1853.
