My gggrandmother was Nancy May Hughes who came to IN with her mother, Catherine Hughes, while IN was still a territory. Catherine's husband James Hughes did not make it to IN and there seems to be no trace of what happened to him. I have much info in a book:
Hughes, A Pedigree, by Fern Orr Scoudan and John James Bowater, 1994 which I would be willing to share.
It does not show a Sarah as one of Nancy Mays siblings, only John, Mary, Edward, Nathan, James and Evan.
