On 24 July 1850 in Newbury, Orange Co., Vt there is a Mary Prouty b. 1801 Ireland. She had children: Michael b. 1818 Ireland, Martin b. 1820 Ireland, Patrick b. 1827 Ire, and John b. 1829. Martin m. Anna b.1822 Ire and their children were Michael b. 1842 Ireland, Bridgett b. 1846 Ire. and Nicholas b. 1847 Ireland according to the same census. They were all living together.
There was a Barnard Prouty b. 1820 Ireland in the 23 Aug. 1870 Cooper, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan census who was a farm tenant.
In 1860 in New Orleans, there was a William Prouty b. 1831 Ireland who was a potter.
These are all the Irish Proutys that I have found so far. Any of these belong to you?
