George Clifford Prouty of Canada was b. 21 April 1912 in Kenora, Ontario, Canada. Was this Jordan's father, or grand-father? Your Proutys are descended from the Simeon and Theda Coburn Prouty family of Vermont. This line has never been connected to the original Prouty line of Massachusettes, because noone knows who Simeon's parents were, but they certainly were of the main line, as all the Proutys, except for the Irish line, came from Richard and Damaris Torrey Prouty of Scituate, Plymouth Co., Mass. Arvid Prouty should be a cousin of yours. His email is Please let me know if this George Clifford Prouty is the right one, as I am compiling a Prouty Genealogy II, and would love to include your info. Thanks, Louise Prouty
