Thanks for replying. L L Prouty's name is on the marriage licence for who I think my ggfather & ggmother where as the person that married them. I would love to find someone that might have old records that LL might have kept on these things. I have just recently started the genelogy thing, & not finding much infor on them & it is confusing for me. The name for the gggrand father is John, but the family has always thought his 1st name was James, & my gggrand mother has the last name as Hertz, but can not find any more info as that .
