Deputy Ernest Clyde Prouty, Rensselaer, Indiana

Am researching Ernest Clyde Prouty.(1888-1931) Son of Tilden John and Ellen Nellie (Guinan) Prouty.

He married Beulah Leona Dunlap in Brook, IN in 1909.

He was a Deputy Sheriff in Jasper County, Indiana who lived in Rensselaer, Indiana who died in the line of duty on Jan 4, 1931.

For Starters:
Any information on Ernest that anybody could pass on to me would be appreciated.

Also, I find in the 1930 Census, that for some reason, his two youngest children, Patricia June Prouty (b 6/10/1925) and Maxwell Calvin Prouty (b 6/1/1929)ARE NOT listed as living in the home.

Does anybody know if they were raised by other family members, or why they weren't in the home?
