My greatgrandfather was Lyman A Prouty who lived in Philadelphia, Pa and owned a soda fountain factory on Arch St. I have pictures and information on the soda fountain company and also the Prout family going back to Stephen who served in the Revolutionary War. He and his sons Lyman and Luther moved from Massachusetts to Vermont where they had a black smiths shop. I have names going back earlier but am not sure of the accuracy. Please contact me for more information.
