Dean,
Thanks...good points you raise...first I did not phrase the points on Thomas vs Thomas V very well...I only meant that in 1814 Alabama Thomas who md Mary Stokes is proven to have been in the same area of no. Alabama/MT as John/Love Province - hence I assumed a father - son relationship. And regarding family oral histories, I have found a great variance on the quality of family records between different families...some have bible records and written histories -...others retain only bits and pieces of family data because their history was passed orally. I too believe your Barzilla (sp) Barnett (sp) was descended from the Timothy/Love line...too much smoke for no fire. I think the John W Barnard who md the Millie Fry was a close kin of your Barzilla who md Susannah Province.
