The e-mail address cited in the 2/15/10 message has been changed. The displayed e-mail address for this message is the current e-mail address.

I would like to encourage researchers of any of the various spellings of the name to participate. This includes, but not limited to: Provan, Provance, Province, Provence, Provin(s), Proven(s), Provan(s), Provine, Purvance, Purveance, Purviance, Parvin, etc. Within any direct line, you may find many different spelling of the name.

Participation in the DNA project will help determine the links among the various spellings of the name and assist in tracing the family to Ireland, Scotland, and/or France.
