here is what i have on Emaline Adeline Provins Cantrell b.1844 Tenn. (most likely in white county)siblings include starling l. (may be jim sterling) sarah jane, james h, eliz. serena, hiram jr., james chester. she married Sam Cantrell (born 1823 N.C.) before 1870. in marion county alabama. she is 26 he is 45 in the 1870 census. SALINE ADELINE CANTRELL BRYAN was born 11/11/1876. siblings include dollie, jennie, rachel, alpha,beulah (burried in hill alabama). it seems that salinas mother migrated back and forth between bull mountain area that is the marion co alabama bordered with itawamba co miss. Salines father hiram provinve died i am pretty sure in or just after 1858. so did hiram jr, unless that was the same person. in tennessee (most likely white county). Rachel Emaline Markham-Province-Mason b. 2/11/1822 Tenn. (probably white co.) m. 1 hiram provincemay have been 1842. m. 2 henry mason 11/30/1858 in itawamba co. miss. she died in 1904 and is burried in bexar, marion co. ala. henry mason is with her he died 1878.Abner MARKHAM is related to rachel Provins Mason. may be the father or uncle. abner has been described in the war of 1812 as volunteered at sparta, white co. tn. 10/1/1814 for 6 months. private in co. with capitain daniel newman in the 3rd reg of volunteers commander colonel henderson . abner is described as 5 ft. tall 130 lbs rather dark complected black hair black eyes.
