some info from (if I remember correctly) Kenneth Mercer:
Wm Vernon Pruitt died l985 and his will is in Walker Co. Ga. He married Georgia Katheryn Hillman (daughter of Arthur Lewis Hillman and Mary E. Tackett Hillman. I have a copy of the Will (1974) and it might be Kenneth who has a copy of the marriage cert of Arthur and Mary (Tackett) Hillman who were married in 1909.
So, the above Wm V Pruett, that I am tracing could not be the same as Wm V who died in 1985. Our Wm V..died ca l860 probably in Milam Co Tx.--about 100 years difference.
If anyone has some info re Wm V Pruett (Claiborne Parish La) and being married to a diff Georgia Hillman. I would love to have this info.
