Hi Karen

I know you posted this message a few years ago but just in case you still subscribe to the forum, the gravestones mentioned in your message are my forebares. There is an excellent portrait of Thomas Pryde in the Dunedin early settlers Museum, he is my great great grand father. I think he immigrated to NZ in his later years. We have a number of early photos of the Prydes of Mataura, Invercargil and Gore (my Mum's side of the family). The Prydes of Mataura are related to the Dickie family and there is a geneology book aptly titled the "Dickie Book" which was printed in the 1980s and sets out some of the Pryde history. I know there are a few copies floating around my family.

Are you also a Pryde and are you also from NZ?

Regards
Becky
