Oh by Carol of 27 Carol, My g g grandmother was Catharina Pues b. 1806, in Germany, a sister to your William Pues. William's other children are Agnes, Frank, and John. John and Louis were children of the second marriage. There may have been other children from the first marriage. William was a cooper in Cincinnati, and so was Frank. They both moved to Missouri in about 1872. I have not been able to locate anything on Agnes or John. Do you have any info on them? William died in Missouri. Do you have the exact date and place? William came to the U.S. in about 1832-33. I found the emmigration record for him in the Stadtsarchiv in Osnabruck, Germany. They were not more specific (maybe he left without the necessary papers).
