I have some information on Puett lineage from TX. I'm hoping we can make some kind of connection. Jim Puett, the son of a rancher, came over to settle in Texas from North Carolina in a covered wagon. Although, this was not his first and final destination. He traveled directly from North Carolina to Tucumcary, New Mexico. I'm assuming he found no future as a ranch hand in NM, and then proceeded to the panhandle of Texas. He settled and remained in Shamrock, Texas. He had two children, Arthur Burl & Eula Puett. Now I'm not real sure about the countiy Shamrock in imbounded in, so I'm wondering if Jim came over with some family who settled in different parts of Texas.
Anyway, Burl married a woman from McClain, Texas, moved to Oklahoma and had two sons, Tim Allen & Burl Don. These two men are now my father and uncle. I'm hoping you can shed some light on my generational gap as to the parents or siblings of Jim (James) Puett. Good Luck
