Abigail Puffer was the daughter of Matthias Puffer who was the son of George Puffer, the first Puffer in America (as far as is known).

Matthias has a place in American history in that his wife and eldest son were the first settlers killed in what is commonly called "King Phillips War". This was an uprising of local indians that tried to turn back the tide of white settlers.

Abigail is the daughter of he and his 2nd wife Abigail Everett.

William Crane's descendants include Margaret Fuller. She "was a journalist, critic and women's rights activist associated with the American transcendental movement. She was the first full-time female book reviewer in journalism. Her book Woman in the Nineteenth Century is considered the first major feminist work in the United States." Wikipedia

Hope this helps some
