I have just begun researching this line, and have found several messages apparently posted by you about your Pullin(s) ancestors from Chester (Twp?/Vil.?), Meigs, Ohio.
I am hoping because you have put so much work into this already, you may be able to help me on my way.Specifically, I came across a record which states that William Weldon, former JP and auditor for Meigs Co., Ohio, married an Eleanor (Elinor?) Pullins.William Weldon died circa 1832 in Chester, and I have no idea what became of his wife.
I found a record of a will of "Ann Ginny Pullins" dated 16 Sep 1805 probated Oct 1805 which mentions a g-daughter,"Ellenaor Pullin dau of late son John", and also a few census records for Meigs Co, which list both a Loftus and a John. Both of these had "unnamed daughters" per further searches at the USGENWEB county site.
Have you, in your Chester, Meigs, Ohio, research come across any information concerning an Eleanor/Elinor/ Ellenaor Pullin(s) and/or a possible connection to the Weldon family?Might she have been a daughter of the John who settled in Chester, or the Loftus?
I'd sure appreciate a point in the (generally) right direction before I go too far off.
Thanking you in advance for any tips.
