Thank you, Sandy, for the response. Yes, I do mean Moses Pullen b. Bedford Co., VA and D. Lawrence Co., TN. We are also looking for a male descendant from Thomas Pullen line who lived in Laurens Co., GA.

The male must come from a straight line of Males from Moses on down. It doesn't matter how many generations but it must be an unbroken line of males.

If you request a sample kit from the Pullen DNA website the cost is:
Y-DNA 12 marker $99
" 25 " $124
" 37 " $149
" 67 " $238

I would strongly recommend that you sign up for the 25 marker test or more. While the 12 marker is a starting point I can assure you that you will eventually need to upgrade to a higher marker test & it is cheaper just to go ahead & get the higher test from the beginning. My personal feeling is that usually the 25 or 37 marker is quite adequate.

Our website welcomes people with all the variations of the spelling of Pullen/pullin because we realize that the spelling of names were often corrupted over the years. I know several people who are interested in trying to determine if they link to the VA Northern Neck Pullens where Moses' ancestors lived. That is why a sample from his line is so important to a lot of people. We do have a couple of Pullen DNA samples from England.

The website is at Family Tree DNA site. The address is: IF for some reason this link doesn't work then just go to the home page for Family Tree DNA and type Pullen in the search box.

I hope you can find someone to help us out. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask & I'll do my best to help out. Thanks so much for responding.
