CORRECTIONS: Adding to and correcting PULLEN info for Capt. Samuel M. Pullen, who was thought to be son of Lindsey Pullen. It has come to light that he was Samuel Montgomery Pullen and son of William Pullen that d. bef. 19 Dec 1814 in Lancaster Co., VA. Check out following for the info found in Lancaster Co., Administrations, Orphans Court Records, - ancestry.com - Message Boards > Surnames > Pullen. Samuel was an orphan by 15 Jun 1818 and Thaddeus Mitchell was appointed guardian. Samuel had 4 older siblings, William, Mary, John and Sally. It appears that the father William had no wife and 4 children on 1810 Census. 15 Mar 1818 William had a widow, but does not give her name. All 5 children are named. Mary and John name their own guardians 17 May 1817 and they were orphans. Mary named her older brother William Pullen and John named James Ball. No record for Sally found. Then on 15 Jun 1818 Thaddeus Mitchell is named guardian for Samuel Montgomery Pullen, orphan. Samuel appears to be son of the 2nd wife Molly Luckan and Molly died between 15 Mar 1818 and 15 Jun 1818. William Pullen m. 1) Hannah Bailey 1791 with William Brumley Security. William Pullen m. 2) 1811, Molly Luckan. We believe that this line fits in with the early Henry Pullen m. Mary Stott, but don't have the connection as yet. A descendant of Samuel Montgomery Pullen has taken the 67 marker DNA test. Anyone know anything about these people?
