The Nancy Pulliam that is mentioned in the will of her young brother James Pulliam in Halifax County, Va. as you stated was the daughter of Joseph Pulliam (Sr.). Joseph, Sr. had at some point migrated just over the state line in to Caswell County, North Carolina where he died and his will was dated June 5, 1821 and witnessed in open court in October 1822.In this will he mentions his daughter Nancy and her husband Thomas Holloway.I don't have any subsequent information on this Nancy. Many of the Pulliams migrated further south and west in that time period and Nancy was a popular family name so it is difficult to tell but it seems improbable that she would use her maiden name.
Joseph, Sr. was the youngest brother of my 5th great grandfather James who married Agnes Allen and settled in neighboring Person County, North Carolina in 1792 where our family still lives.
