Hi Catherine

We meet on a different message board!

Hugh Pullin of Halberton occurs in the three following references, all of which are from documents in the Devon Record Office.
1769 mortgage of household goods and 2 houses in Westexe (Tiverton) from John Pounsford, cabinetmaker, to HP of Halberton, for 80 (49/9/6/156).
1774 re-assignment of above, from HP to Arthur Culme, clerk of Tiverton, for 100 (49/9/6/157).
1777 assignment from William Jenkins of Tiverton, to HP and John Salter, both of Halberton, who were trustees in marriage agreement of WJ to Mary, daughter of Robert Salter (5214M/T22).

As far as Pullens are concerned nowadays - the telephone directories for northern and eastern Devon contain about 20 names, so there are still a few around.

Best wishes

Mike Sampson
