Hi Geraldyne,
Good to hear from you. Yes, kinship with the great Nolan Ryan is really something to be proud of! Candace (Candacy) Butler Pullin is something of a mystery in my disorganised and incomplete Butler documents. I remember my late father telling me (While giving me the "oppressed" Butler version of the Helena and Dailyville shootings) that she was a "cousin" of WM. G. Butler. A lot of what he told me was filtered thru Butler bias and proved not to pan out later. I do know that she does not appear to be a child of Landon Carter Butler's, at least under that name. Jared Butler does not appear in any of my incomplete stuff. I would suggest that you email Archie Ammons about Candacy and Jared.( He is an irascible font of information about the Butler clan. He is not really a fan of the WM. G. side of the family. He once wrote me that ". . there are some Wm.G. Butler men who have not yet been straightened out, and who may never be straight." Of course, he was refering to some of my ancestral misinformation. By the way, is Charlotte Nichols any kin to Andrew M. Nichols? He reportably was the driver of the weapon-laden Butler hack that came into Dailyville on that fateful day. Hope you have good hunting, and please keep me informed. I need to stay straight on this ancestral history!
