Pullums of Newton County, GA.

I am the great-grandson of Thomas Pullum, born in 1822, who left Newton County, GA. in the 1840s and moved to Dale County, AL. He had been a farmhand working for Elijah Clark, and moved with the family to Dale County. He married Mr. Clark's daughter, Mahala, which was a daughter by Mr. Clark's first wife, Sarah. The Clarks appear in the 1840 census, but not the Pullums.

Thomas Pullum's father may have also been named Thomas.

Thomas Pullum may have had a sister named Amanda, born in 1821, who married Peyton W. Bailey. There may also have been a younger sister named Anna or Hannah who lived with the Baileys.

Thomas Pullum and many of his descendents are buried in the Clark Cemetery here in Houston County. The location was once part of Dale County.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone/everyone having any knowledge whatsoever of the Pullums of newton County, GA. My e-mail address is as follows:

Rev. Larry F. Pullum
3638 CR 203
Rehobeth, Alabama 36301-7726

Thanking you in advance for your assistance, I am...
Larry F. Pullum
