Hi Chris,

You have made the error that almost everyone else has made. Michael is the oldest of the two boys traveling from Rotterdam to NY. Micahel b. 1704, Peter b. 1706. I think it was probably Peter who was christened in NY after the family's arrival.
Travels took the family from the Palatine area of Germany to Rotterdam, then to England. They entered the country as English citizens-Queen Anne had need of increasing the population in the new colonies to keep the French at bay.
