Does anyone know anything of a Polly Pulver who shows up as head of household in an 1855 census of Victory in Cayuga County, New York. Maiden name is unknown, and given name of husband unknown. She was 68 years of age in 1855 and indicated that she was widowed. The census also indicated that she had been born in Columbia County, probably about 1787, but had lived at Victory 34 years.
She and UNK PULVER may have been married in Columbia County, New York.
Children of Polly Pulver, as shown in the 1855 census were William Pulver, age 25, born in Cayuga County; Adam Pulver, age 23, born in Cayuga County.
A granddaughter was also in Polly's household in 1855. She was Margette or Margrett Townsend and was 14 years old, which would indicate that Polly had a daughter who may have been born about 1821 or before.
It is possible that Polly had another son, named James, who was born about 1817.
Any information would be helpful.
