Allen:

According to inforamtion on Ancestry Family Trees:

Byron George Pulver b 21 Mar 1916 Iowa, died 3 Jan 1998 San Jacinto CA, married Virginia Jo Stephens 1918-1997' The son of George R. Pulver b Oct 1881 Boone Co Iowa, d 1930 Iowa, who married Eva E. Valentine 1887-1930

George R. Pulver listed with his family on the 1900 census for Boone Co Iowa b Oct 1881 ae 18, son of David L. Pulver, b May 1849 in Inidiana, died bef 1910 Boone Co. and Lydia A. Gregory b Jan 1857 in Illinois. Listed also in 1880 Boone Co. Iowa. David was in Story Co. Iowa in 1870 ae 21 a laborer ae 21 b Indiana. I could not find him in 1860, but possibly he was the son of John and Sarah Pulver in Indiana 1850, however in appears that the middle initial was a T. I will check further if this helps Howard Boswell
